Oldsmobile Park
At 505 E. Michigan Ave, between the cross-streets of Larch & Cedar, rests Oldsmobile Park -- the home of the Lansing Lugnuts Minor League Baseball Team (A Ball). The Lugnuts are an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Oldsmobile Park was built in 1996 and seats roughly 11,000 spectators for baseball.
We attended a Lugnuts game on August 8th, 2003, when the home team Lugnuts squared off against the visiting Fort Wayne Wizards (a San Diego Padres affiliate). The Wizards won the game handily, with a final score of 9 to 1. Errors and walks killed the Lugnuts -- they made FIVE errors and gave up four walks within the first seven innings. The sole Lugnuts run came on an RBI single in the 8th inning. The park was quite comfortable and the food was good, albeit expensive.
